Flashlight Friday

In Reading class, we LOVE Flashlight Friday! We all (even me...this is way to fun to not participate) get our awesome books, grab a cool finger flashlight in the color of our choice, find a comfy spot, and make the room as dark as possible. You can hear a pin drop during this time because we're all lost in our books.

Reading With a Pen

Good readers stop...think...and jot. Here we are learning how to read with a pen using text codes. These kids are awesome at it!!! Just ask them some facts about the blobfish and you'll see how reading with a pen aids in comprehension.

First Week - That's a Wrap!

We made it through an entire week of school! Whoo hoo!!! We have had superb first week full of tons of fun stuff (pics to come soon). We saved Fred, had a birthday party, created skits about the do's and don'ts of being a digital citizen, played SCOOT, decorated journals (whoa, they're awesome), and wrote our first entry in the Friday journal.

After gaining one and losing one, we are at 21 students. I think we have an awesome class and look forward to the year ahead now that I know everyone's names and starting to figure out personalities. I feel like we're a family already!!
