Students may also do iReady each day to earn "Extra" stars. Students should complete 60 minutes of iReady throughout the week. They may work on it at home, in the labs in the morning at school before Morning Meeting starts, and during our lab time in homeroom. By working on it at home, they'll get more lessons complete (to earn shirts!) and help earn stars for TEAM Homework.

Recent Happenings
Our class recently finished a really fun special class called Project Based Learning. They did a ton of fun stuff, including researching habitats and creating a model. Check out their awesome work below:
We now have Spanish class. You would be so impressed to hear all the wonderful Spanish conversations!! They know so much already.
In other news, we are hard at work on iReady. We get to go to the lab once a week to work on fun reading and math lessons (there are even games!) but iReady can be done on any computer or device that has flash player. Each student has their login information in their red folder, so they can do it at home, too!
*see link below picture*
Students will be able to earn t-shirts by completing lessons all while getting super smart!!!! We are currently holding a t-shirt design contest in the school. We hope a design from our class wins.

Unlocking the secrets to fancy answers
In reading today, we learned how to use question stems to write sophisticated, college-like answers. These kids are awesome at it! They are already super at identifying stated main ideas and finding supporting details.
Our next challenge is identifying the main idea when it's only implied. I have a feeling these reading detectives will have no problems!!
Check out their hard work from today. We love to use different colored pens to show our thinking!
